  Land Record Management Information System

LRMIS is a complete automation of manually maintained parcel based revenue record system which deals with the establishment of rights of ownership on land such as verification and distribution of titles, mutation, crop assessment, tenancy etc..... LRMIS envisions it to be the legal and administrative system registering and publicly announcing physical status, legal right relationship, limitation matters, obligation matters regarding the land. LRMIS promises balanced development of the province.

LRMIS is multilingual, it maintains and facilitates the nativity of the software by providing the native terminology and interface for users. The software relies on state of the art Biometric Technology for its security needs. LRMIS is a GIS enabled application.

LRMIS, a multi-million $ project, being implemented in Punjab province. it will ultimately maintain the record of 10,000,000 land owners on a WAN connecting to 34 districts, 125 Tehsils, 1,250 Qanoongoi circles and 27,000 Patwars.

Yet the biggest challenge for was to make way for new system into the old setup. Serious change management was required. The CDGL Punjab saw the 540 year old the rent seeking culture of its field staff as the greatest impediment to change. saw the broken down old system as an opportunity, helped City district government Lahore develop a vision for the future, and then through seminars, workshops, training sessions, and frequent interactions with the field staff helped BOR implement the vision. The result -- notoriously in-efficient village accountants "Patwaris" bacame the greatest supporters of system.

The team of data entry experts at have already praticed data entry on revenue record in order to test the various functionalities of the software. The data has been entered from all sorts of samples from purely rural settings to purely urban cities and from small rural settings in the south of Punjab to well established urban cities in the north of Punjab. we have also tested the tens of villages of Lahore alone and in total the no. of entries done is close to 50,000.
